About

Dr. Angela M. Clayton was born in Oxford NC and resides in Timberlake, NC. She is married and is the mother of three. Dr. Clayton is a Graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s in Education with Honors. After teaching herself how to play the guitar in 2007, she created an educational CD that teaches music and movement across the curriculum. She then used her musical talent to share her methods of teaching with colleagues and other professionals employed in schools, and educational settings. She advocated for education by serving as President and in other leadership capacities in the North Carolina Association of Educators NCAE (Professional Teachers Organization) from 2012-2016, participating in marches and rallies on the behalf of students, parents, teachers, and administrators. In 2017 Dr. Clayton received a degree in Master's in Executive Leadership Studies, from Gardner- Webb University with Honors. After serving in the capacity of a Literacy Consultant at Franklin- Granville-Vance Smart Start Inc., she received her doctorate in Organizational Leadership Studies at Gardner-Webb University, also with Honors. Currently, Dr. Clayton is the founder and CEO of Planting Seeds to Grow LLC, where she continues to collaborate and share her knowledge and expertise with stakeholders in education.
